Hot Tack

is the internationally used abbreviation for the strength of a heat-sealed seam while it is still hot.

This value can be increased by using special formulations. The higher this value, the faster a hot seam can be loaded, e.g. during the packaging process. Especially in vertical form-fill-seal machines (v-FFS), this parameter is often of considerable importance for the quality of the seam and the packaging performance.
