Sealing seam strength
describes the strength of a seal of weld seams.
It is determined in the laboratory using a tensile testing machine on 15 mm wide strips and given in N/15 mm. In the process, the two loose changes are torn apart at an angle of 180 degrees from each other at a constant tensile speed and the curve is recorded. The breaking force and the breaking pattern are then assessed. A distinction is made:
Peel = seam peels openTear at the seam = a film tears off at the seamDelamination = The film layers of laminated films separate from each other under the load until breakage occurs.Tear + delamination = mixture of delamination and tear of the film
