Light transmission

is a characteristic value for specifying the light density of coloured or metallised films as well as other light-proof materials.

This value can be determined with a densitometer, e.g. of the Gretag McBeth type. The higher the value, the denser the material is against light transmission. This value is determined especially for metallised or strongly coloured films.
