Lightfastness

Light fastness is the resistance of a material to colour changes caused by exposure to light without direct atmospheric effects.

It is distinguished from weather resistance. The determination of light fastness, e.g. of printing inks or dyed materials, is tested according to the so-called wool scale (light fastness scale is tested according to DIN ISO 12040 fastness level 1-8).
