Density of plastic materials

DIN EN ISO 1183-1, of mono films, granules, moulded articles etc. made of polyolefins, PVC, or Polyamide. PET samples must have a minimum thickness of 0.3 mm, thin PET films cannot be tested with this method.

Needed sample size:10 g material, in the case of laminated films, the mixed density is determined.

Density by immersion method
This method is intended for granules, monofilms and other meltable monomaterials. The method is usually not suitable for determining the mixed density of plastic films or other multilayer materials.

This method is intended for determining the density of plastic films, including multilayer and other bubble-free molded or extruded objects.
